Dorothy Ellen Gray-Curley was born to Nancy (Helms) and Joseph Yelton on February 6, 1928 in Newburg Missouri. Dorothy had two older brothers; Bland Yelton and Wayne Yelton, of Boise, Idaho. Dorothy moved with her Parents to Pleasant Hill, Illinois at the age of nine. She met Athol Gray in 1943 and they were married in 1944. Dorothy and Athol remained in Pleasant Hill until 1958, when they loaded up their seven children; Danny, Joe, Ira, Janice, Justin, Justina, and Sheliah, in their two door "55" Chevy and moved to McCall, Idaho. Dorothy worked at the Merc in McCall as a checker, a school bus driver, and as a nurse at the McCall Hospital. As someone who liked to stay busy; she also worked as a supply person for the Forest Service during fire seasons. Seven Children was not enough so Dorothy and Athol added baby boy Eddy to the list in 1962. Athol passed away in 1988. Dorothy moved to Weiser, Idaho in 1990 where she worked as a Hospice Nurse. Fishing was her favorite hobby and she spent many, many days at the surrounding fishing holes. In 1999 Dorothy met Thomas Curley of Logan, Utah. They married and made their home in Logan. Tom passed away in 2007. Dorothy moved to Nampa, Idaho with her daughter Sheliah, so she could be closer to family. She was preceded in death by: her parents, both husbands, daughter Janice, and son Justin, God grant you the grace to see your loved ones in heaven. Dorothy passed away at her home in Nampa on June 11, 2016. A service will be held in her honor on Wednesday June 15, at 11:00 A.M. at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, located at 83 N. Midland Blvd. Nampa, Idaho followed by a graveside service at Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise.
