Beverly Martella McCrary Timmons, 86, of Nampa, Idaho died on December 4, 2014 at her home after a brief illness. She was born in Malad, Idaho on July 28, 1928. She was a gentle, kind, and peaceful person. She was the fifth child born in a family of seven children. Her parents were Robert Milton and Pearl May Allen McCrary. She grew up in the small farming town of Portage, Utah and went to grade school there. She also attended Bear River High School in Tremonton and later went to Utah State University. She began college with the intent of obtaining a Secretarial Science degree but later changed her major to Home Economics Education and graduated in 1951. Beverly taught Home Economics at Grantsville High school and later at Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah. While teaching in Kaysville, she met Jerry A. Timmons and they were married on August 22, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by ElRay L. Chirtiansen who was the president of the Salt Lake Temple at the time. The couple resided in Layton, Utah and later in Bountiful. In each place that they lived, they developed good friends and made happy memories. It was while they were in Bountiful that they had four children: Julie (Stephen Kramer), Cheryl (Matthew Fowler), Karen and Alan (Rhonda Lowe). Jerry was employed my Moore Business Forms in Salt Lake City as a salesman. He was transferred to Tucson, Arizona to become the office sales manager. Beverly said that she would try living in Tucson for two years, and if she did not like it, the family would have to move back to Utah. They stayed in Tucson for 13 years! Robert (Jana Isaksen), their fifth child was born in Arizona. In 1977, Beverly and Jerry relocated to Kaysville, Utah. While there Jerry servied as a Bishop. They served together on a Family History Mission in Salt Lake City for three years. They also served as temple workers in the Bountiful LDS Temple. In 2004, Jerry and Beverly felt a need to live closer to their adult children in Idaho so they moved to Nampa, Idaho. Beverly experienced several significant health challenges. She had a brain aneurysm followed a year later by breast cancer. Her family looked to the Savior for strength during this time. Her family was blessed to have Beverly around for eight additional years. She was able to see several of her grandchildren married and several great-grandchildren born. Family has always been important to Beverly. She expressed appreciation for her parents. Her great joy was her family. Other interests were quilting, sewing, cooking, reading and family history. Beverly and Jerry have exemplified a loving relationship for their posterity. They were a "team" during their marriage of 59 years. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 13 at the Nampa 20th Ward LDS Chapel, 88 S. Happy Valley Road, Nampa. A viewing will be held at the church from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services.
