Ramona “Mona” Rae GravenRamona passed from natural causes on 3 September 2024 in her home, located in Nampa, Idaho. She preferred to be called Mona. Mona was born to Guadalupe Waldaias, who was raised by Everett Nordin, and Dorothy Daffern Nordin on 30 June 1946. She was the 2nd child of 3 girls. Mona grew up in Portland and Corbett, Oregon. She loved riding horses, clearing the out brush, and planting flowers and fruit trees. Mona met Terry Graven on a blind date, then married him on 11 September 1971, in Estacada, Oregon. They would have been married 53 years as of 11 September. They lived in Corbett and Vale, Oregon and Nampa, Idaho. Some family memories included Mona teaching her family strong work ethics, as she worked as a custodial engineer: cleaning all the federal, state, county and city buildings. She was always loving, strong-willed, positive and fun. Mona belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was honest, always saying, "Honor Bright.” She was loving, generous, dedicated, and caring. Family was her life. Mona was survived by four children, seventeen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The service viewing will be held at the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, located at 83 N. Midland Blvd. in Nampa, Idaho at 5 -7PM on Sunday, 8 September 2024. The funeral services will be on Monday at 9:00AM on 9 September 2024. This will be held at the Sunnyside church building, located at 3007 Sunny Ridge Rd. Nampa, Idaho 83686. The burial will be at 11:00AM at the Veteran Memorial Cemetery located 10100 Horseshoe Bend, Boise, ID.
