Leyonda "Lee" Mae Pease

Leyonda "Lee" Pease Lee passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on March 16, 2017 in Milwaukie, Oregon. She was 86 years old. She was the oldest child of six and was born on November 25, 1930 to Leon L. Thompson and T. Elaine Moon Thompson in Malad, Idaho. Lee grew up in the Aberdeen area where she met David T. Pease and they were married on March 13, 1951. Lee and David met at a dance which was how Lee loved to spend her time. She was born to dance and she enjoyed meeting new people. If Lee was not dancing she liked to spend time with family and cuddle babies. Lee made her home in the Nampa area where she worked as a waitress and raised her five children. She spent 50 years in the Nampa area where she became a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 3691 and worked in the Ladies Auxiliary in Caldwell. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where as a teenager she put her love of children to use working in the Sunday School where she served as a secretary, and always made everyone feel welcomed. Lee is survived by her five children: Steven Pease of Nampa, Idaho, Roxanne Kroff of Blackfoot, Idaho, Shirley Pease of Milwaukie, Oregon, Randy Pease of Greenleaf, Idaho and Cheri Pease of Nampa, Idaho, all of which she adored. Lee also leaves behind two sisters Sherlene Mclean and Janice Norwood both of Blackfoot, Idaho; and a brother Danny Thompson of Caldwell, Idaho. Lee was kept busy with 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by her parents Leon and Elaine Thompson; her husband David T. Pease; their infant son Ricky L Pease; and a brother Gerall Thompson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa with a viewing from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Middleton Cemetery, 23660 Cemetery Rd in Middleton, Idaho, directly following the services. Family will be hosting a gathering for guests at the Eagles Lodge, 815 Arthur Street in Caldwell, Idaho after the interment.
