William James Emerson (Bill) died peacefully surrounded by his children on October 26, 2015 in Salt lake City, Utah at the age of 75. William was born on July 16, 1940 in South Gardiner, Maine to Manton Lee Emerson, and Esther Annis. He married Mickey Collett on September 23, 1983. After moving many times, he began working as a contractor with his best friend Bruce. Soon after, the couple welcomed three children into their home. First came Manton (Matt), second came Richard, and lastly Heidi. He later married Beverly Jean on February 17, 2005, living in Caldwell until her passing January 11, 2007. Soon after, William then met Donna Thompson, his latest wife, whom he loved dearly. They married in the Boise LDS Temple on November 22, 2008. His children remember him as a loving, and hardworking father who would do anything to help. William was a generous, and genuine individual who loved the outdoors, and working with his hands. He was an active and dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and often volunteered cleaning the Middleton LDS building, and Middleton parks. William is survived by his wife, Donna Emerson of Middleton; children, Manton (Matt) Emerson of Middleton, Richard Emerson of Middleton, and Heidi Maxwell of Caldwell, his four grandchildren, Alexis, Lucas, Alexander, and Zoey; previous wife, Mickey Emerson of Middleton, and sister, Elaine Melvin. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Beverly Jean Emerson; father, Manton Lee Emerson; mother, Esther Hope Annis; three sisters: Cynthia Hammond Emerson, Brenda McFarland, and Joan Emerson. A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. October 30, 2015 at the Middleton LDS building, 309 W Main St in Middleton, ID 83644. A reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate William's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to William's Go Fund Me Account to help pay for his services, and transport. The family would like to thank the staff at Middleton Ashley Manor, the Team at West Valley Medical Center, and the staff at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center for their care and dedication in Dad's final days.
