Jack Lynn Arnold

Jack Lynn Arnold born July 16, 1940, Rawlins, Wyoming, to Ben Argyle Arnold and Evelyn Irene Chaffin. His death was September 17, 2019, Kuna, Idaho. Jack grew up in Sinclair, Wyoming which was an oil refining town. Wyoming was ideal for his youth with desert and mountains to hunt, fish, ride his dirt bike, snow skiing and water skiing. He learned auto mechanics from his Dad and learned to love music from his Mother. He never missed a Friday or Saturday dance with several different dancing partners (which remain good friends). His favorite dance was the jitterbug, which he could do very well. His first job was helping his Dad in the auto garage. He went on to setting bowling pins at the bowling alley, bagged groceries, working in the uranium mine and many other jobs until graduating from Rawlins High School. He left Wyoming and went to Nevada. Their he sold insurance, bought a Texaco Service Station, serving the public for many years and worked for the BLM measuring rivers, wells and streams. He had an opportunity to return to Wyoming to work for the Sinclair Refining Company where he met Beverley Gail Thompson and they were married June 28, 1975 then being sealed for time and all eternity on March 5, 1977, Salt Lake City UT Temple. After their marriage he returned to work for the BLM and Department of the Interior. He ended his career by purchasing right-of-way for the Federal Government, State and County governments in 4 of the western states, Wyoming, California, Washington, Montana. When he retired he and Beverley bought a tree planation in Nyssa OR. He loved being outside and learning the ins and outs of taking care of the trees. He decided to retire again in 2013 moving to Kuna, Idaho and doing some of the fun things they had talked about. However, his health became an important issue so they enjoyed their home and quiet life together. Jack was soft spoken and love to tell stories from his experiences. The youth always enjoyed hearing his account of falling from a cliff 100 feet and then tumbling with the rocks and debris for another 300 feet. It took several surgeries and over a year to heal but he remembered the day and the year well. Jack was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in various callings and being an ordinance worker in the Boise Idaho Temple. He is survived by his wife Beverley of 44 years. Jack is also survived by his children. 1 daughter - Lynnette (Darrel) Huntersville.
