He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of his life. He held numerous callings, ie, bishopric counselor, Scoutmaster, various clerk positions and his most favorite of all was his calling as a Nursery Asst. He loved the little children and they affectionately called him "Granpa Nursery". Shad loved all motor sports, but his most favorite was mud racing and monster trucks.
