Linda Kay (Stosich) Fisher died on November 4, 2018. During her brief battle with gallbladder cancer, she remained true to the attributes that framed her life including faithfulness, honesty, compassion, service, and finding humor and light when possible.Linda is remembered and honored by family and friends as a devoted wife, a thoughtful daughter and sister, an adoring mother and grandmother, and a good friend. She enjoyed volunteering in a variety of community organizations and serving in many roles as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Linda was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 3, 1953 to Kenneth and Teresa Stosich as the second of four children: Van, Linda, Gina, and John. She was raised in Idaho Falls and attended college at Brigham Young University and Northwestern University, earning a degree in dental hygiene. While at Brigham Young University, she fell in love with a fellow student, Bradford Fisher. Linda and Brad married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1974, sealing a relationship founded on kindness, mutual respect, and love. Linda and Brad lived in Illinois, Nebraska, Germany, and Washington before moving to Kuna, Idaho, where they raised their eight children: Nathan, Kelly, Christina, Russell, Sherrie, Lora, Benjamin, and Daniel. Linda was the heart of the Fisher home, bringing joy and energy to her role as mother and grandmother. In recent years, her grandchildren often looked forward to Grandma Camp where they would spend dedicated time with their grandmother. Linda loved learning and was often found reading books, solving crossword puzzles, or pursuing new educational opportunities such as learning Italian in the last years of her life. She also worked to improve the education of children in Kuna by volunteering with the curriculum committee for years. She had a natural gift for celebrating others and finding or making the perfect gift for loved ones. Of the many items she created throughout the years, her family is especially grateful for the homemade blankets and quilts she made to celebrate each child and grandchild. Linda was a talented baker and cook with an impressive array of cookbooks. She loved to experiment with new recipes and try new cuisines, a love that was passed down to all her children. She was a passionate fan of nearly all sports and had a particular love for Boise State football and professional tennis. Linda was a committed citizen and helped manage elections in Kuna for many years. She also volunteered for decades to help others research their family history and complete temple work. Above all else, Linda loved Brad, her children and children-in-law, and especially her grandchildren. She loved to tell others about the antics and activities of her grandchildren, trusting that these stories would bring as much joy to others as they brought to her life.Linda Fisher was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Stosich.
