Why Streamcastit

Built differently.

Three things that make Streamcastit feel like a relief.

Performer connecting with their audience
Built for any cadence

Stream once a year, once a week, or once a decade.

Most platforms ask for a monthly subscription whether you stream or not. Streamcastit only matters when you go live. Set up your event, broadcast, step away. Come back next month, next quarter, or next year — your account is waiting.

Your audience stays yours

Direct link. One stream. Their attention is on you.

The big streaming sites use your show as bait to keep viewers on their platform — recommending other creators the moment you sign off. Streamcastit sends viewers to a watch page that's yours. When the stream ends, the relationship is still between you and them.

Live in five minutes

Sign up, set your event, broadcast.

Enterprise platforms gate you with sales calls, contracts, and account approvals. Streamcastit is built so a comedian, a teacher, or a church videographer can go from "I should try this" to live on the air before lunch. From your phone, or any encoder you already own.

See how the PPV payout works

For every ticket sold, your payout is the ticket price minus three transparent costs: Stripe processing (industry standard, 2.9% + $0.30), bandwidth at cost ($0.10 per viewer-hour), and our 6% platform fee. Depending on your ticket price and stream length, producers typically keep 78–89% of every ticket. Most other platforms charge a higher platform fee, add hidden bandwidth markups, or bundle costs into opaque tiers — we take one of the smallest cuts in the industry, and we show every dollar of it.

"The PPV system is exactly what I needed for my comedy specials. I'm keeping around 90 cents on the dollar. Way more than what platforms typically pay out — most take 30–50%."

FAQ

Questions answered.

Can I stream using just my phone?
Yes. Sign up, set up your event, and tap one button. Your camera opens, you tap Start, and you're live. That's it. No apps to download. No stream key to copy. No software to learn. Works on iPhone and Android. Switch between front and back cameras while you're streaming. Hold your phone the way you'd hold it for a video call.
What software do I need to stream?
Any RTMPS-compatible software works — OBS Studio (free), Streamlabs, Ecamm, vMix, or hardware encoders like Magewell. Once you create your event, we give you the stream key and server URL. Paste those in and hit Go Live. Or skip the encoder entirely and broadcast straight from your phone with our one-tap Go Live feature.
How are PPV payouts handled?
Revenue is collected securely through Stripe and paid out to you via PayPal — works in 156+ countries. You provide your PayPal email at signup. New producers have a 72-hour hold on their first 3 events; after that, trusted producers receive payouts within 24 hours of the event ending. Your payout is the ticket price minus payment processing (2.9% + $0.30), bandwidth costs ($0.10/viewer-hour), and our 6% platform fee. PayPal's payout fees on our end are already covered by the platform fee — you receive the full amount we send.
Can viewers watch on their TV or mobile?
Yes. The watch page works on any modern browser — desktop, mobile, and tablet. For TV viewing, viewers can use screen mirroring or cast from their phone or laptop. Each ticket allows up to 2 simultaneous devices.
What's the difference between temporary and persistent channels?
A temporary channel is created for your event and deleted after it ends, keeping costs minimal. A persistent channel keeps the same stream key and endpoint forever — perfect for weekly shows or recurring broadcasts. You pay for the event window, not for idle time.
Can I give free tickets with promo codes?
Yes — you can create promo codes with percentage discounts or fixed-dollar amounts. The maximum discount on any code is automatically capped per event so the redeemed ticket price still covers the small payment-processing and bandwidth costs. This is a protection for you — it prevents you from accidentally giving away tickets that would cost you money. The dashboard tells you the maximum allowed discount when you create the code.
What happens if something goes wrong during my stream?
Your stream runs on Amazon's streaming infrastructure (the same one Twitch uses) with built-in redundancy. If your encoder disconnects, simply reconnect and the stream resumes automatically. Your dashboard shows live viewer counts so you always know the stream is healthy. We also include a grace period after your scheduled end time so your stream finishes on your timing, even if it runs long.
